The work environment

Mount Madonna is a well-established, multigenerational community and retreat center set on 380 acres in the Santa Cruz mountains overlooking the Monterey Bay. Features of the work environment include:

Community Well-being Director

Fostering holistic health & connection

The Community Well-Being Director leads the Community Well-Being (CWB) Team and reports to the Executive Director. The CWB Team advocates for the well-being of the resident and staff community; cultivates a sense of belonging for residents and staff through creating opportunities for connection; and promotes the values of Mount Madonna including: to work honestly, meet people without fear, meditate everyday, and play.

Human Resource Development Staff Support Administrator

Overseeing the staff journey & promoting success through recruitment

The HRD Staff Support Administrator is part of Mount Madonna’s Human Resource Development Team. The Administrator works closely with the HRD team, which includes the HRD Manager, the HRD Staff Support Coordinator, and an HRD Advisor, to oversee all details of the staff journey, inquiry to offboarding.
The Administrator also works with members of the Operations team, as well as Area Leads, to support the overall staffing objectives of the organization. The HRD Staff Support Admin is specifically focused on recruitment and intake and works proactively to provide adequate staffing for the retreat center’s operations.

IT Support

Supporting Internet & Computer Technology On Campus

Help manage and support internet and computer accessibility and use for Mount Madonna Center and Mount Madonna Institute. You will install and configure computer hardware and provide IT support for the organization, and deal directly with staff who have technical issues such as viruses and email issues, forgotten passwords and other technical issues.

Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Creatively collaborating & consciously engaging

Engage collaboratively in a learning community dedicated to serving as both a container and catalyst for health, personal growth, and transformation toward the attainment of peace. You will be responsible for completing tasks that support the organization’s overall marketing initiatives, including researching and reporting on market trends, creating marketing content specifically for social media, managing social media platforms, and work closely with Mount Madonna teams to support respective communications projects.

The Operations Manager will serve in a leadership role for all of the Mount Madonna Center’s direct operations. Volunteer Opportunities

Become part of Mount Madonna

Decades of volunteerism laid the foundation for Mount Madonna, and an embodied practice of karma yoga, or “the yoga of action,” remains the ethos for all service on the campus. Service as a volunteer is usually in the areas of kitchen, dining room, dish room, gate, events & hospitality, and landscaping. There is a three-month commitment for this opportunity.
