Integrating Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda

May 6, 2022

Kamalesh, Mount Madonna Institute’s Provost and Director for Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy Program, is interviewed by Colette Kent on the Elements of Ayurveda Podcast. Together they discuss integrating Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda.

Colette is a certified Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor. Her humble wish is to help people connect to their ‘true nature’, to Mother Nature and to each other. In this weeks episode they discuss:

– What is Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy?
– Working with the subtle and gross body for healing.
– Using the tanmatras to heal the subtle body.
– The three bodies, five sheaths, chakras, nadis and vayus.
– The internal limbs of Yoga.

Mount Madonna’s AYT program is accredited by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) and recognized by the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA). MMI has as its foundation the understanding that self-development, therapy, healing and transformation of the individual and community is possible through the disciplined study, practice and contemporary application of the ancient wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda.
