46th Annual Liberation Yoga Retreat

Wisdom of Acceptance - the Jewel of Santosha

Join us, online or in person, for our 46th annual summer Liberation Yoga Retreat to explore and embrace the ancient Yoga practice of santosha, or contentment

As a jewel is precious, so is the ability to walk in the world with acceptance, contentment, and compassion. These qualities can be challenging to achieve or maintain, especially in trying times. However, through the support of community, disciplined practice, self reflection and study they can blossom and expand within us, bringing states of well-being and peace.

We invite you to take this opportunity – through theatrical storytelling, kirtan (devotional singing), restorative yoga, asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation, and time spent in nature – to move out of your everyday world and into a deeper connection with yourself and others!

You will experience at this four-day retreat:

  • A welcoming and grounding opening circle; and an integrative and connecting closing circle
  • Morning and evening arati (ritual of light)
  • Practices of pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation, and asana (postures)
  • Theatrical storytelling by the Hanuman Players
  • Presentations and reflections on the theme, Wisdom of Acceptance – the Jewel of Santosha
  • Kirtan (devotional singing)
  • A traditional Vedic yajna (fire ceremony)
  • Time to spend exploring the beautiful redwoods and meadows, visiting with others over tea or a meal, or enjoying a wellness treatment (advance reservation recommended)
  • Forest Bathing
  • Sound Healing
