Mount Madonna Wins Gold! 2025 Davey Awards

“Inspired by the story of David vs. Goliath, the award recognizes big ideas that come to life without big budgets. Each year, the Davey Awards celebrates the smart, nimble, and impactful work being done by creatives who punch above their weight and deserve to be seen.” — Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts

Mount Madonna is honored to announce that our website redesign has received a Gold Davey Award  in the Website Features – Website Redesign category.

Evaluated by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA) — an assembly of more than 500 industry leaders representing acclaimed brands, agencies, and institutions such as National Geographic Society, NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory, University of California Berkeley, Condé Nast, Disney, Sesame Workshop, and Netflix — the Davey Awards celebrate creative excellence from small teams that deliver outsized impact. Each submission is judged on its own merit according to a standard of excellence determined by the AIVA, with Gold Winners generally receiving a score of nine or higher.

Our winning project unified the formerly separate Mount Madonna Center and Mount Madonna Institute websites into one cohesive, accessible, and visually engaging platform — the culmination of years of thoughtful design, collaboration, and technical work.

This award recognizes the creative vision, dedication, and partnership that brought the project to life. Built upon decades of institutional knowledge and inspired by Mount Madonna’s legacy of community and service, the new website honors our history while supporting a modern, intuitive experience for visitors, students, and guests.

Congratulations to our project team:

  • Angeles Moreno, Senior Brand Designer & Digital Marketing Specialist – for her creativity, design expertise, and inspired vision throughout the process.
  • Enio Escobar, Front-End Developer – for his technical mastery, SEO and AI best practices, and steady patience over the two-year build.
  • Lara Kilpatrick, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer – for leading the project vision and guiding collaboration across teams.
  • Robyn Pearson, Web UI Developer – for her technical insight and ability to keep the project focused and on track.

With deep appreciation as well to:

  • Kamalesh Hooven, for her vision, fortitude, and deep knowledge of Yoga and Ayurveda, and for her extensive revision and integration of academic content into the new Study section of the website.
  • Jaya Maxon, for offering historic insights and guidance, and for writing new and revising legacy content for some of our most meaningful website pages — including about Baba Hari Dass, our annual retreats, history, and special events.
  • Soul Camp Creative (Alison Leipzig, Michelle Garside, and Hannah Coward), for their foundational branding, logo design, and messaging.
  • Jennifer Dove and Vyvyanne Mackey, for their detail-oriented project management and the development of standards and processes.
  • Morgan Kennedy and Haley Dempsey, for their strategic insight and support during the rebrand and website launch.

Together, we celebrate this recognition as a reflection of collective effort, creativity, and dedication to our shared purpose. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed feedback, patience, and encouragement throughout the process — and to our wider Mount Madonna community, whose support and presence help carry forward our commitment to our mission, continuing to inspire and sustain this work, both on the mountain and beyond.
