Mountain Experience
A Day of Exploration and Personal Wellness
Design your own personal getaway through a Mountain Experience day retreat! Take time out from your normal daily life to let the energy of the mountain help to restore stillness and balance within. The land offers a number of ecotherapy opportunities, including special spots for meditating or “forest bathing” and miles of beautiful walking or jogging trails through redwood forests and rolling meadows with magical viewing points.
Mountain Experience day visits are available on most Saturdays and select Sundays and holidays. This reservation includes a scheduled guided walk and yoga class, leisure time, general access to the Center and Temple grounds, as well as two nourishing vegetarian meals that can be enjoyed in our spacious community dining room or on the outdoor decks overlooking the lovely Pajaro Valley and Monterey Bay.

Plan your visit
Included: Two vegetarian meals, a scheduled yoga class and guided walk, and access to the Temple and 180 acres of hiking trails, walking paths, and indoor amenities. Wellness treatments and Ayurvedic consultations are not included but may be booked in advance.
Days of the Week: This program is offered on most Saturdays and select Sundays and holidays. A reservation a minimum of 24 hours in advance is required.
Arrival & Departure: Check in between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm; and depart by 7:00 pm.

Experience At The Source
You are welcome to spend leisure time exploring miles of walking and hiking trails through 380 acres of redwoods, old oaks, madrones and golden meadows; join any scheduled yoga and meditation class as you are inspired; treat yourself to the variety of offerings at our Wellness Center, including traditional massage and other body and Ayurvedic therapies; spend time in contemplation at the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple; have tea or a snack at Anjaneya’s World Cafe; browse the selection at our Oceanview Books & Gifts store; and enjoy delicious and nourishing vegetarian meals in our spacious dining room or on the outdoor decks overlooking the lovely Pajaro Valley and Pacific Ocean.
Below is an example of what a self-guided day at Mount Madonna might include. All activities are optional. You are welcome to spend the day at your leisure.

Notes
- Times, classes, and experiences are subject to change.
- Advance notice that you wish to attend the yoga class or guided walk is appreciated.
- Two vegetarian meals are included and are served in the Community Building at the times indicated below (please arrive at the dining hall 15 minutes before the end of mealtime). Breads, spreads, and a fully stocked tea bar are also available between meals.

Policies
- Reservations are required for all visitors.
- 24-hour notice is required to make a reservation.
- Balance is due in advance (Visa, MasterCard, American Express only).
- Please, no food, drugs, alcohol, pets, incense, candles or other flammables.
Cancellations
- For cancellations received at least one week before your Mountain Experience reservation date, you will receive a full refund.
- For cancellations received less than one week to 48 hours prior to the reservation date, you will receive a full refund minus a processing fee of $25.
- For cancellations within 48 hours of your reservation date (no-show or early departure), no refunds will be given.
