Welcome! We are happy that you’re interested in supporting Mount Madonna Institute’s Yoga programs through serving as an Apprentice or Assistant!
Mount Madonna Center’s Yoga Teacher Training 200 and 300 hour level Apprentice Programs provide structure for your development within our Yoga Teacher Training to create a progressive sequence of learning opportunities. It also provides an opportunity for growth in your personal development as a teacher and a student. You may either apprentice or assist.
Please fill out the form below for the Apprentice/Assistant program. You will then receive an email with instructions to begin the application process (using Populi, our web-based college management software). Please note, a non-refundable administration fee of $25 will be due to complete submission of your application. During the application process, an admissions counselor will be available to guide you and answer any questions you may have.
Prerequisites: Yoga Apprenticeship requires YTT 200 or YTT 300 certification at Mount Madonna Center; 50 hours of yoga teaching experience within the last 12 months; a practice of regular sadhana, including the four purifications and meditation; mentoring abilities.
Assistant prerequisites include prior apprenticeship for Mount Madonna’s YTT for two previous YTT sessions; teaching experience (classes, retreats, workshops, or programs) at Mount Madonna; 100 hours yoga teaching experience within the last 12 months; a practice of regular sadhana; mentoring abilities, organizational skills, responsibility as a team. Yoga Committee approved.
Please note that Mount Madonna Institute does not provide student visas.
