Hatha Yoga Class

Wednesdays 9:15 – 10:30am, the Redwood Room

Join us for a gentle yet strengthening Hatha Yoga practice (“Hatha” can be translated as path of balance). This class welcomes people with all levels of yoga experience and includes 15 minutes of breathwork and guided meditation followed by 60 minutes of asana (postures). The asana portion of class is primarily slow and gentle with moments of holding strengthening postures, all with the aim of feeling embodied, promoting ease, and building equanimity.

Class Etiquette

  • Please arrive on time.
  • If class is already in session, please wait for the teacher’s okay and then enter quietly.
  • All props and mats are provided.
  • Please do not bring beverages of any kind onto the practice floor.
  • Please sign a Liability Waiver prior to class.

    Brianna is an MMC community volunteer and 500 hour registered yoga teacher (RYT 500). She has been practicing yoga asana for 16 years and studying Classical Ashtanga Yoga intensely for the past 4 years. She has taught yoga for three years and has been on staff for three yoga teacher training programs. Her passion lies in helping people feel embodied and facilitating the establishment of their own sadhana.
