Daylight and temperature can fluctuate significantly as we shift into fall, and while we may choose different attire, what do we do to adjust our daily routines? By recognizing that changing seasonal patterns affect us – perhaps making us more susceptible to illness, burnout, or fatigue – we can begin to make adjustments to our daily habits and routines to better align with the cycles of nature. In this wellness class with Jen Rand, learn about the predominant Ayurvedic qualities present in the fall season and how to apply basic Ayurvedic principles in order to achieve balance in mind, body, and spirit.

In the yoga class following the presentation, learn practices that can be incorporated to find balance for the autumn season. Leave this incorporated Ayurveda presentation and Yoga class feeling resilient, productive, and more alive!

To participate in this, class, register for a Mountain Experience day visit. The full day’s program includes:

  • A guided tour of the Mount Madonna campus (weather permitting)
  • Lunch & dinner in the shared community dining hall
  • Personal time
  • Option to stay for arati (ritual of light) after dinner at the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple
  • Option to book a wellness treatment at Kaya Kalpa Wellness Center (fees additional, advance reservations recommended)

    Jen completed her 200-, 300-, and 500-hour trainings in classical Ashtanga Yoga with Mount Madonna Institute. She is experienced in teaching students of all ages both in-person and online and works with students in Ayurveda and Yoga trainings at Mount Madonna. Her yoga practice is deeply influenced by her studies of Ayurveda, which allow her to offer options and modifications to help students tailor their practice to what they need. She is currently pursuing her studies in Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy. In addition to practicing yoga, she enjoys gardening, cooking, hiking with her dog, and spending time with her husband and cat.
