Asana Class – Level 2 / Intermediate

Fridays 7:00-8:30am in the Redwood Room

This Yoga class builds strength, flexibility, balance, and helps to align mind, body and spirit by consciously directing, using, and linking each breath to movement seamlessly from one asana, or posture, to another.

Each class is a dynamic, flowing practice, that builds on itself – no two classes are alike. Each class will use Yoga elements of pranayama (breathing techniques), asana, and meditation and it is designed to help promote a pathway to inner peace and happiness. It’s an awesome full-body physical workout, too!

This class is a better match if you are already familiar with yoga poses and how to do them.

Class Etiquette

  • Please arrive on time.
  • If class is already in session, please wait for the teacher’s okay and then enter quietly.
  • All props and mats are provided.
  • Please do not bring beverages of any kind onto the practice floor.
  • Please sign a Liability Waiver prior to class.

    Uniting his passions for music, yoga, spirituality, community, and worship, Anand brings a unique perspective to his practice and teaching. He spends time in residency at Mount Madonna, where he is immersed in yoga and community studies. He serves as a primary instructor for YTT 200 and YTT for Educators. Anand seeks to promote body intelligence through asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), and meditation. Enthusiastic, encouraging, creative, and compassionate, Anand inspires students of all ages through ancient methods delivered with contemporary scientific understanding and a playful, dynamic spirit.
