Ayurvedic Health Counselor In-person Practicum
Deepening Wisdom with Practice
This program includes two 10-day in-person practicums on our beautiful mountain campus, plus monthly online integration sessions and clinical follow up hours. The Ayurvedic Health Counselor (AHC) Practicum is open to students who have completed a minimum of 378 hours in Ayurvedic Foundational studies (upon transcript approval).
During the program, students will apply theory to practice through a variety of hands-on learning experiences in Ayurvedic Diagnosis, Nutrition, Herbology, Lifestyle Practices, Yoga, Chanting/Sanskrit, Ayurvedic Therapies, Jyotish, Professional Practices, Case Study and Client Interactions.

Session 1: July 8-17th, 2024
Each transformative day unfolds a new layer. Immerse yourself in daily yoga classes, clinical diagnostics, and herbology. Experience the resonance of Sanskrit Chanting, delve into the intricacies of interpersonal connections, and explore the profound impact of Sense Therapy & Self-Care. As you hone your clinical skills, engage in six client consultations.
Session 2: September 8-17th, 2024
Continue your journey with an immersion into advanced concepts and practical applications. Elevate your practice with daily yoga classes, delve into case study presentations for enriched learning, and resonate with the ancient art of Sanskrit Chanting. Expand your expertise in Sense Therapy & Self-Care, while exploring Hasta (hand) and Vastu (space) as integral components of Ayurveda. In this session, amplify your practical skills with eight client consultations.
*If you completed a beginning Ayurveda program in another school, you may be eligible to join us for this practicum and gain invaluable in-person training.

Dr. Rucha KelkarD.P.T., B.A.M.S.
Dr. Kelkar has sixteen plus years of experience in clinical practice and in teaching all subjects of Ayurvedic medicine. She is an accomplished speaker and writer and has been a presenter in National Conferences on multiple occasions. She has an extensive clinical experience in Ayurvedic therapies, Ayurvedic consultations, Panchakarma. She specializes in orthopedic physical therapy and is also a certified yoga therapist. Dr. Kelkar is the Director of Ayurbliss-Ayurveda Wellness for Mind, Body and Spiritual Health located in San Mateo, CA.
