Rituals that support you on your spiritual path

The natural tendency of the human mind is to be engaged and fully absorbed in the worlds that we create – within ourselves, our relationships, our work. All spiritual traditions offer methods and ways to pause the flow of the outgoing mind and center within with mindful awareness, allowing us the means to touch the underlying divine consciousness principle that resides at the core of our being. This can range from daily practices to observances that fall throughout an annual cycle.

At Mount Madonna, it is our tradition to celebrate five special events that mark auspicious times throughout the year. These occasions present the opportunity to stop our usual activity and focus, celebrate, and honor the divine through gathering together for ritual and ceremony, music and singing, mantra (chanting) and meditation, delightful feasts and, in some cases, fun games and friendly competition. You are invited to come be a part of these events that take us out of the ordinary and into the realm of the divine.

Deities are sign boards. They remind us of our spiritual path. In Hindu religion, there are 350,000 deities. It is a symbolic way of saying that everything in creation is a deity: sun, moon, wind, creative, and destructive energies.
