Mother’s Day Weekend in Community
A weekend to honor the care you give and receive
This Mother’s Day weekend, we invite you to the mountain for a multi-day experience rooted in care, presence, and connection. Whether you are honoring a mother, a mentor, a friend, or your own journey of nurturing, this weekend is an opportunity to slow down, gather in community, and honor the care you give and receive.
You may choose to arrive on Friday afternoon for dinner, arati (ritual of light), and an evening around the campfire with the Mount Madonna community. On Saturday, enjoy Classical Ashtanga Yoga (eight-limbed path), brunch, a guided walk on the mountain, a special afternoon yoga class, dinner, and evening arati. All Kaya Kalpa Wellness Center treatments are 20% off throughout the weekend, with 30-minute Express Massage appointments available Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, stay to participate in morning arati, an all-levels yoga class, breakfast, lunch, and time to explore the mountain at your own pace.
An Evening around the Campfire
Arrive Friday evening for dinner, arati (ritual of light), and an evening around the campfire with the Mount Madonna community, weather permitting. Share stories and songs (all are invited to contribute), roast marshmallows, and savor s’mores together beneath the stars. Bring a blanket or bundle up in cozy clothes, and let the warmth of the fire and good company ease you into the weekend.
A Guided Walk on the Mountain
Step away from the pace of daily life and into the quiet of the mountain. This guided walk invites you to move slowly, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the land. There is something inherently nurturing about time spent among coastal redwoods and open sky; consider it a reminder that care flows in every direction, from the earth to the beyond.
